Uniontown Lions Club host 29th festival in Hartville
The Uniontown Lions Club is sponsoring its 29th annual festival for the community to raise funds for the support of various community service and outreach programs. This year’s Lions Festival will be held Wednesday, Aug. 14 through Saturday, Aug. 17 on the grounds at the HRM Complex adjacent to the Hartville Marketplace.
The festival theme is “Uniontown Lions, Serving our Community.” The grand marshal for this year’s festival is Kelli Viscounte, the founder and president of Love Our Community, which is a local nonprofit that provides care and resources for people/families in need.

The festival will include food, rides, games, instant bingo, bingo, 50/50 drawings and entertainment nightly.
On Wednesday, Aug. 14, the festival will open at 5 p.m. with La Flavour playing ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s music from 7-10 p.m.
On Thursday, Aug. 15, the festival will open at 5 p.m. with Hymn Sing Local Churches from 6:30-8:15 p.m. and Aaron Stanley playing rock, pop and country from 8:45-10 p.m.
On Friday, Aug. 16, the car show will be from 4-8 p.m., the festival will open at 5 p.m. and Better Monday will play soft rock music from 7-10:15 p.m.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, the parade will be at 5 p.m., and the festival will open after the parade. Lake High School’s band will perform at 7 p.m., and Gerald Harris The Entertainer will perform jazz, oldies and Motown from 9-10:15 p.m. Fireworks will be at 10:30 p.m.
