Volunteer hours totaled 765 during the month of April at the Love Center.

                        

A total of 289 different families came to the Love Center during the month of April. Some families came in more than once, making a grand total of 400 visits. Food from the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank was 35,576 pounds, and food donated by businesses, churches and individuals was 5,389 pounds. Volunteer hours served at the Love Center totaled 765.

Food and cash donations from churches and ministries included Clark Presbyterian Church, Faith Lutheran Church, Gateway Fellowship, Martins Creek Mennonite Church, Millersburg Methodist Community Church, St. John’s Church of Walnut Creek, St. John’s Women’s Ministry of Millersburg, St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Millersburg and Zion Reformed Church of Winesburg.

Food and cash donations from businesses, organizations and clubs included Ace Hardware, Berlin Natural Bakery, Emma Cates Crust Bakery, Farmerstown Auction, Greenleaf Acres, Hershberger Farm & Bakery, Inn Maid Noodles, Jitters Coffee House, Kauffman Bakery, McDonald’s of Millersburg, ODNR Division of Wildlife, Streb’s General Store and The Commercial & Savings Bank.

Food and cash donations from individuals included Ray Casdorph, Kay Earney, Frank Gnizak, Leona Hershberger, Sue Kauffman, Christine Leyda, James and Bernadine Mast, Janice Miller, Lester Miller, Betty Mullet, Ruth Nussbaum, Dr. John Rehm, Eddie Steiner, Katharyn Wheeler, David Yoder, and several anonymous.

Cash contributions for the general fund can be sent to P.O. Box 31, Millersburg, OH 44654, and food donations can be dropped off at the Love Center at 1291 Massillon Road, Suite A, Millersburg, any Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
