W-M Evening Lions golf scramble Aug. 28
                        

The Wooster-Madisonburg Evening Lions Club will have its seventh annual golf scramble on Friday, Aug. 28 at Hawks’ Nest Golf Course, 2800 E. Pleasant Home Road, Creston.

Proceeds from the scramble will go toward local eye exams and glasses for those needing financial assistance. Lions also support the battle against diabetes and other community organizations.

Registration, coffee and doughnuts will start at 8 a.m. with golf starting at 9 a.m. The scramble will have four-person teams, 18 holes, low score and best ball. Following play, awards will be presented for the first three teams, longest drive, closest to the hole and longest putt.

A box lunch and beverage cart will be provided as the clubhouse cannot provide food or beverages. Greens fees with a cart are $60 per golfer if paid by Aug. 25 and $65 after Aug. 25.
