The Wooster City School District announced its schedule for summer food distribution after the USDA granted permission to summer food service operators to continue distribution, similar to COVID-19 deliveries, until Aug. 7. Breakfast and lunch will be delivered following the schedule.

The district will have four routes, stopping at 11 different locations throughout Wooster. Vans or cars will stop and stay at each location for 10 minutes to ensure all students receive meals. With just four routes, the district asks everyone look carefully at delivery times, as the drives will be on a strict time schedule.

Here are the four routes with times and locations:

Route one: 10:40 a.m., Scottsdale Apartments, 1855 Mechanicsburg Road.; 11 a.m., Parkview Elementary, 773 Parkview Drive; and 11:20 a.m., Wooster YMCA parking lot, 680 Woodland Ave.

Route two: 11 a.m., Melrose Trailer Park, 4400 Melrose Drive (bus loop), and 11:20 a.m., Brown Hollow Apartments, 2222 Melrose Drive (circle on Melrose Drive).

Route three: 10:40 a.m., Northgate Apartments, 940 Northgate (parking lot); 11:05 a.m., Community Action, 905 Pittsburgh Ave. (parking lot); and 11:20 a.m., corner of Palmer and Rebecca.

Route four: 10:35 a.m., Salvation Army, 437 S. Market St. (on Ohio Street); 10:50 a.m., Wayne County Public Library, 220 W. Liberty St. (South Street parking lot); and 11:10 a.m., Cornerstone Elementary, 101 W. Bowman St. (north drive loop off of Quinby Avenue).
