The Winesburg Memorial Day observance will be Monday, May 27.

The day will begin with the annual parade, which will start at 9:15 a.m. at the Winesburg water tower. Children are invited to ride bicycles in the parade, and other units are invited to participate as well. Those wanting to be a part of the parade can gather at the water tower at 9 a.m.

The parade will proceed through town to the Westlawn Cemetery, where the memorial service will be held.

Matt Johnson will lead the program, and the Hiland band will play several selections after Brett Barkley gives the invocation.

Judge Andrew Hyde will deliver the message. Gus Johnson will play and sing “Dress Blues,” and Austin Miller will read “Those Who Serve.” Taras Pacula will place the wreath.
