Crafting event in Fredericksburg

The Fredericksburg Community Library will host a crafting program in August and September, making hats for newborns for Central America Medical Outreach.

The Fredericksburg Community Library will present Crafting with a PURPOSE on Tuesdays, Aug. 16 and 30 and Sept. 13 and 27 at the library, 108 S. Mill St., from 1-3 p.m. each day.

Participants in the free program will make newborn hats for Central America Medical Outreach, sharing what they make with someone less fortunate. This is for all ages and will be led by Phyllis Young, who has years of crafting and sewing experience. Bring your own scissors. All other materials will be provided. No sewing or crafting experience is necessary.
