On March 6 the Tuscarawas County commissioners declared March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. This month is important because it is a designated time when the Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities can create awareness and recognize the many contributions people with disabilities bring to the community.

It’s also a time when people with disabilities can share their stories and show they are living successful lives.

TuscBDD asks everyone in the community to join in celebrating victories, advocating for inclusion and encouraging awareness.

To celebrate Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, TuscBDD will have awareness events.
