Grab a passport, head to downtown Wooster
Starting Oct. 18, grab a passport from participating locations or the Main Street Wooster Office and head to downtown Wooster to see what you’ll discover.
Passports can be completed Oct.18-31, then returned to the Main Street Wooster Office by Monday, Nov. 1 for a chance to win up to $100 in Downtown Dollars. One winner will be randomly selected to win $100 in Downtown Dollars, and two winners will be randomly selected to win $50 each in Downtown Dollars.
Share photos of your favorite discoveries on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for a chance to be selected to receive $10 in Downtown Dollars — no purchase necessary, and three winners will be chosen.
Oct. 23 will bring the Fall Shop Hop, during which participating businesses downtown will offer fall-themed specials and features. Grab a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area beverage and enjoy the fall-like atmosphere downtown, with DORA drink purchases going toward the Shop Hop Passport.
On the public square will be the following live performances: Cedar Valley Cloggers from 1-1:45 p.m. and Rare Vintage from 6-8 p.m.
Rare Vintage is a cover band from Ashland that performs a variety of musical styles including artists such as Michael Bublé, Jimmy Buffett, Lionel Ritchie, Frank Sinatra, Chris Stapleton and the Eagles.
In addition to amazing finds on Oct. 23, Main Street Wooster has partnered with NAMI of Wayne and Holmes Counties to showcase artwork from its MOCA House program titled “Artists Among Us,” with art showcased at various locations. The CFAES floral students also will provide floral installations inspired by the art.
