Library offers Bolivar bicentennial series
The Bolivar Branch Library of the Tuscarawas County Public Library System will present a two-part series on Bolivar’s bicentennial.
The series is sponsored by the Bolivar Main Street Association and presented in partnership with local organizations and longtime county residents.
On Monday, Jan. 27 at 6 p.m., Seth Angel will give a presentation on the history of Bolivar’s pioneer life featuring period attire.
On Monday, March 31 at 6 p.m., Dale Duerr will present the history of the Village of Bolivar to the present day, highlighting key events and figures that have shaped the community.
“Each presentation will have before and after photos of Bolivar, courtesy of the Tuscarawas County Historical Society,” said Courtney Wallace, Bolivar Branch Library supervisor. “We are eager to have community members join forces to observe, learn and share the history that makes Bolivar what it is today.”
These programs are free, but registration is required. Call the Bolivar Branch Library at 330-874-2720 or visit www.tusclibrary.org.
