Memorial Day meat offered to veterans
The Wayne County Veterans Service Commission is distributing vouchers for holiday meat from Buehler’s to veterans in time for Memorial Day.
Buehler’s, in conjunction with the Wayne County Veterans Service Commission, is distributing vouchers for holiday meat to veterans in time for Memorial Day celebrations and remembrances.
Vouchers are available for Wayne County veterans, those on active duty and surviving spouses of veterans. First-time patrons must bring proof (DD-214) of prior active service and proof of address.
Sign-up will begin April 15 and run through May 3. Only one voucher per household, and they may be picked up May 13-24 and must be used by June 7.
To register, go to the Wayne County Veterans Service Commission office at 356 W. North St. (lower level) Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or call 330-345-6638.
