Kent State Tuscarawas to host 23rd golf outing
Kent State Tuscarawas is sponsoring the 23rd annual Scholarship Golf Outing on Friday, May 17 at Oak Shadows Golf Club in New Philadelphia. The four-player, 18-hole scramble registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Greens fees include lunch at the turn and steak dinner.
The registration deadline is May 10. All proceeds will benefit Alumni Legacy Scholarships for students at Kent State Tuscarawas.
Several levels of sponsorship are available. “It’s a fun way companies and individuals can get involved to help out our students,” said Brad Bielski, Kent State Tuscarawas dean and chief executive officer. “We are always striving to provide more opportunities and access for local individuals to pursue college.”
Over the past 22 years, this annual event has raised more than $95,000 and provides funds for four $1,000 Alumni Legacy Scholarships awarded yearly, sustains the Alumni Legacy Scholarship Endowment Fund, and supports the growth and development of the Kent State Tuscarawas Alumni Association.
