HCA holding dance auditions for ‘Nutcracker’
Holmes Center for the Arts will host auditions for the “Nutcracker” in early August.
This December Holmes Center for the Arts will perform a reimagined “Nutcracker,” and anyone is welcome to audition for a part in the retelling of this classic.
No dance experience is necessary, and according to Holley Johnson, executive director at HCA, rehearsals for the Christmas show will take place as called on Saturday afternoons beginning in August.
HCA is seeking teens through adults for auditions for roles dancing in the party scene. Those interested can call Holmes Center for the Arts at 330-473-2879.
In addition to the adult roles, there will be auditions for children age 5-12.
Auditions will be held for a dancing role on Tuesday, Aug. 2 from 3-3:45 p.m. at Holmes Center for the Arts. Those interested can register at www.holmescenterforthearts.org/nutcracker-registration or call 330-473-2879. Johnson said anyone who auditions should expect to be cast in the show.
