Latest Bloom Christmas cards feature Sugarcreek church

The 2019 Tuscarawas Valley Christmas cards, painted by local artist Christy Bloom, are now available. The painting on this year's card celebrates the First Reformed Church of Shanesville (Sugarcreek).
A brief history of the church is written on the back of the card, which reads in part, “A stained glass window from the old church was saved in time and mounted to the rear of the altar in the sanctuary of the new church on Main Street. When lightning struck this church and set it afire on March 13, 2003, the sanctuary was a total loss except for a Christian flag and the Zahner window, which remained untouched."
This is the 13th in a series of Christmas cards featuring a message of faith, family and friends in the Tuscarawas Valley. Proceeds will go toward items and shipping for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes.
Cards are available at Alley Cats and Dayspring Christian Bookstore in New Philadelphia, Bloom’s Printing in Dennison, The Gospel Shop in Sugarcreek, and Walnut Creek Cheese in Walnut Creek. The price is $15 for a pack of 20 cards.
