The West Holmes Craft Show will find itself in a new home this year as it merges with Harvest Ridge. The event has been a one-day event over the years but will be extended and take place Nov. 9-11 this year.

West Holmes Local Schools and Harvest Ridge Expo and Event Center are working together to transition the craft show at West Holmes High School to Harvest Ridge as part of the event center’s first-ever “Vintage on the Ridge” show.

The new three-day event will take place Nov. 9-11. Previously the West Holmes Craft Show had always been a one-day event and was scheduled for Nov. 10.

“The West Holmes Craft Show has been a long-standing, traditional event. Partnering with Harvest Ridge and transitioning the event to their venue makes sense as it opens up the gym, avoiding scheduling conflicts for student activities,” West Holmes School District Superintendent Bill Sterling said. “The Harvest Ridge ‘Vintage’ event offers an opportunity to transition the show to a new location and new sponsor while keeping it at the same time and near the same place.”

Harvest Ridge marketing coordinator Mark Lonsinger echoed Sterling’s thoughts.

“The opportunity to work together to help transition the show while keeping it in the area has been good for West Holmes and for us,” Lonsinger said. “This allows the vendors and those attending the chance to enjoy all the amenities of our beautiful expo and event center and allows West Holmes a vehicle to help with scheduling student events.”

The three-day event will feature an early bird session on Friday, Nov. 9 from 5-8 p.m., followed by a full day on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show will wrap up on Sunday with hours of noon to 4 p.m.
