Due to the COVID-19 virus, Dutchman Hospitality Group has made the difficult decision to temporarily close the Berlin Farmstead Restaurant in Berlin.

At this time, Der Dutchman Restaurant in Walnut Creek and Dutch Valley Restaurant in Sugarcreek will remain open, offering baked goods and pastries as well as meals through carry-out and curbside service.

“For the past two weeks, through carry-out service, we have done our best to continue offering delicious Amish Kitchen Cooking to our loyal guests at Berlin Farmstead," said Mike Palmer, president of Dutchman Hospitality. "However, as of Monday, March 30, we have temporarily closed Berlin Farmstead Restaurant.

"We look forward to the day when we will open our doors and welcome back our employees and our guests. We do not know how long this closure will last, but we plan to re-open our doors as soon as possible. We are grateful to our loyal and dedicated Berlin Farmstead team members and look forward to the day we call them back to work. It will be a time of thanksgiving when we are serving our guests, who are gathered around our tables once again.”

As they navigate the current health crisis, Palmer and the management team at Dutchman Hospitality Group remain in close contact with local, state, and national government officials and medical experts. The current situation is completely unfamiliar for everyone in the world and its communities, and is ever-changing. Dutchman Hospitality remains committed to making the best possible decisions with each passing day.

Information regarding Dutchman Hospitality restaurants, shops, and inns, will continue to be updated on the website at www.dhgroup.com, through social media outlets, through e-mail announcements, in the local newspapers and on the radio.
