The Dover Public library invites the public to take a trip into the past as it celebrates the history of Dover in its display cases during the month of May. Featuring the collection of local resident Steve Wherley, the items displayed showcase the community’s history and range from patent medicine bottles, items from the Dover Steel works and photographs of local residents from the city’s early years to promotional materials from local businesses.
The display coincides with the city’s annual Canal Dover Festival, which occurs every year during Memorial Day weekend.
