An Ohio Historical Marker was placed on the Fort Laurens grounds. The marker commemorates Fort Laurens’ role in the American Revolution. The text of the marker was written by the Friends of Fort Laurens Foundation, which also had a key role in obtaining the marker.

The marker was funded by the Sons of the American Revolution, the SAR George Washington Fund and the Daughters of the American Revolution. The marker is located just inside the park grounds. Since 1957 more than 1,800 markers have been placed across the state to share the rich history of Ohio.

Fort Laurens is located at 11067 Fort Laurens Road NW in Bolivar.
