Does a hot breakfast, great conversation and helping others sound like the trifecta of an enjoyable morning to you?

If it does, there will be an upcoming event that will be right up your alley.

A pancake and sausage breakfast will take place the final day of the Holmes County Fair, and it’s all thanks to a local nonprofit organization.

The annual H15 Teen Center Ministries pancake and sausage breakfast fundraiser will be Saturday, Aug. 10 from 8-11 a.m. at H15 Teen Center in Historic Downtown Millersburg.

The breakfast will feature hot pancakes and locally made sausage links served with real maple syrup.

“As many of you may know, we have been doing a pancake breakfast fundraiser on the Saturday of the Holmes County Fair for the past several years, and we are quickly approaching the day for this year’s event,” said Andy Schafer, H15 director. “We have really enjoyed doing this event, and it has been pretty successful for raising funds for the teen center.”

While the food is in order, what H15 needs now are a few volunteers to help set up, make and serve the breakfast, and Schafer is throwing out a wide net to see if there are volunteers with a heart to serve youth — and serve up some fine breakfast food — who would be interested in helping with this event.

“We need people to help set up, flip pancakes, serve drinks, bus tables and help clean up afterward,” Schafer said. “It really is a lot of fun, and we enjoy getting to chat with people who come in. If you can help, please let me know.”

Anyone interested can call or text Schafer at 330-231-7147 or email him at andy@h15ministries.org.

“Even if you aren’t able to help, we would love to have you come and enjoy breakfast with us,” Schafer said. “We look forward to having the chance to visit with everyone and share about what God has been doing through our ministry.”

Setup for the event will begin around 7 a.m. with cleanup generally done by noon.
