Starting May 28, the Wayne County Board of Elections will hold the Wayne County Voter Academy, a series of five one-hour classes presenting a deep look at the entire process of elections in Wayne County.

                        

Have you ever wanted to see behind the scenes at the board of elections? Wish you knew more about the inner workings of the election process?

Starting May 28, the Wayne County Board of Elections will hold Wayne County Voter Academy, a series of five one-hour classes presenting a deep look at the entire process of elections in Wayne County, with the hope that these classes will provide the community with valuable information that will dispel some of the misconceptions surrounding elections. Each class will cover a specific area of the election process, and participants who attend all five sessions will receive a certificate of completion.

The class dates and subject matter are as follows:

—May 28: Voter registration and data.

—June 18: Voting equipment and security.

—July 23: Candidates and issues.

—Aug. 20: Absentee and provisional voting.

—Sept. 24: Election logistics.

These classes will be held in the Metzler Room at the Wayne County Board of Elections at 200 Vanover St. in Wooster. Participation is free, but preregistration is required. Participants may register online at www.WayneCountyOH.gov/academy or by calling 330-287-5480.
