The Tuscarawas County Library System will host fall festivals throughout the month of October.

“Each location will have its own fun event, so customers are able to choose whichever event works best for their family,” said Brian Herzog, the county library’s assistant director. “Depending upon which events you choose to attend, activities will include a chance to dress up, complete crafts, play games or enjoy a not-so-scary haunted house.”

Upcoming fall activities include the following:

—Sugarcreek Fall Festival on Oct. 7 from 5-7 p.m. at the Sugarcreek Branch Library, 120 S. Broadway. Drop in for games, crafts and refreshments for all ages.

—Tusky Fall Festival on Oct. 18from 5-7 p.m. at the Tuscarawas Branch Library, 209 S. Main St. Make crafts, play games and visit some furry friends.

—Bolivar Fall Festival on Oct. 25 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Bolivar Branch Library, 455 W. Water St. Enjoy games, snacks and crafts throughout the library. Costumes welcome.

—Trick-or-Treat at the Library on Oct. 27 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. or 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Tuscarawas County Main Library, 121 Fair Ave. NW, New Philadelphia. Put on a favorite costume and stop at 12 different themed stations throughout the library to collect goodies.

—Not-So-Scary Haunted House on Oct. 27 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Mobile Services Building, 145 Beech Lane NW, New Philadelphia. This event will take place during the Main Library’s Trick-or-Treat at the Library and requires a separate registration. Walk through a haunted house that is appropriate for all ages.

According to Herzog, all of these events are free and open to all families across the county.

“We ask that if you plan to stop in at one of our falla festivals that you register so we know how many to plan for,” Herzog said.
