The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will host a virtual murder mystery party on Friday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. Guests will be asked to travel back to the roaring ‘20s where flappers and bootleggers were the toast of the town.

“Participants will join their police officer host and a cast of suspicious characters virtually to solve the mysterious death of a theater director,” said Lacy Bartley, mobile services supervisor.

The suspects are at the Full House Theatre to audition for a play called "Tickle My Fancy." Before auditions, the director of the play is found murdered in the orchestra pit. It’s up to the audience to figure out which suspect is guilty of the killing.

The online event will feature a series of rounds to gather clues. In the final round, participants will be able to ask questions and interview the suspects.

According to Bartley, customers who register through the library’s online programming calendar will receive an email a few days before the event with the backstory and instructions on how to play the game.

This program will take place virtually through Zoom. Space is limited, but registration is required. Interested parties can register through the online event calendar at www.tusclibrary.org or by calling 330-364-4474.

To learn how to access Zoom or about additional program offerings, visit the library’s website.
