Book discussion clubs have been part of library programming for some time, but this summer the Tuscarawas branch of the Tuscarawas County Public Library System will go beyond the books as it introduces View It, a movie discussion club.

“This brand-new group gives even nonreaders a chance to participate in library discussions,” Tuscarawas branch supervisor Tabitha Johnson said.

The club will meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m., and movie lovers are encouraged to join to share their thoughts. Each month’s discussion will feature a different movie and the chance to voice an opinion. Participants will share thoughts on cast, dialogue and plot.

Movies to be discussed are “Breathe” on June 19, “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” on July 17 and “Only the Brave” on Aug. 21.

“Club members should watch the movie prior to attending the meetings,” Johnson said.

Copies of the movie will be available to check out at the library prior to each meeting. For more information on this program or to register to attend, visit www.tusclibrary.org or call the Tuscarawas branch at 740-922-2748.
