PRC-Saltillo named to Forbes Accessibility 100 list
PRC-Saltillo of Wooster recently announced the news of its inclusion in the inaugural Forbes Accessibility 100 list, a recognition celebrating global organizations that are advancing accessibility and inclusion.
“This honor not only reflects our ongoing commitment to inclusive communication, but it also shines a spotlight on the augmentative and alternative communication industry as a whole,” said Sarah Wilds, CEO of PRC-Saltillo. “It’s a tribute to the passion and dedication of our 320-plus employee-owners in the U.S. and 100-plus colleagues across our subsidiaries in the U.K., Germany, Canada and Australia.
“Their collective efforts are what make our mission possible — helping individuals around the world overcome communication barriers and making the world more accessible for everyone.”
The Forbes Accessibility 100 highlights innovators across more than 15 countries who are leading the way in accessibility across industries such as consumer products, software, education, AI-powered robotics, sports, travel and the workplace. The list was compiled through interviews with over 400 experts and guided by an advisory panel. Forbes defines “accessibility” as software, devices and services that enable people with disabilities to access information, content, public spaces and experiences.
“To be recognized alongside other innovators in accessibility is both humbling and energizing,” Wilds said. “We’re excited to keep pushing forward — developing tools, technologies and support systems that empower voices of all kinds.”
PRC-Saltillo’s mission is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a voice. The company develops AAC tools and supports that enable children, teens and adults with severe speech or language difficulties to communicate effectively with their families, communities and environments.
