Programs a part of the One Book One Community initiative

Participants will learn how apple cider is made and get to taste the results on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m.

                        

Dover Public Library will offer three food programs in October and November in honor of the One Book, One Community selection, “How Did That Get in My Lunchbox?: The Story of Food” by Chris Butterworth.

All programs will be presented by Bring the Farm to You, a grassroots company that shares about food-making and farming with local communities.

Participants will learn how apple cider is made and get to taste the results on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m.

The following Wednesday on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m., participants will learn about beekeeping and the critical role bees play in food production.

For the final program, participants will learn about maple sugaring and how sap gets from the tree to the table in late winter on Nov. 10 at 2 p.m.
