Snow named editor of Holmes Bargain Hunter, 2 others
Chris Snow was recently named as the new editor of The Holmes Bargain Hunter, AloNovus Corp. President Michael Mast announced recently.
Snow is replacing Mike Plant, who is now the company’s managing editor.
Snow joined AloNovus in 2022 as an assistant editor after working as a sports reporter at the Ashland Times-Gazette. The Ashland native is a graduate of Ashland University.
“Chris has been an invaluable part of our editorial team, and this promotion reflects his dedication and ability to take on new challenges,” Mast said.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to build on what Mike has done during his time as editor,” said Snow, who also will be editor for The Wayne Bargain Hunter and Wooster Weekly News. “I’m always open to hearing potential story ideas, so never hesitate to contact me.”
In his new role, Plant will now oversee AloNovus’ 12 weekly publications: The Holmes Bargain Hunter, Wayne Bargain Hunter, Tuscarawas Bargain Hunter, Tuscarawas Bargain Hunter South, Tuscarawas Bargain Hunter North, the Carrollton Free Press-Standard, The Coshocton Beacon, the Harrison News-Herald, the Hartville News, the Knox Weekly News, the Wooster Weekly News and the Medina Weekly.
“As our organization continues to grow — publishing 12 weekly newspapers, launching a new news website and expanding our reach — it’s essential that we strengthen our editorial leadership,” Mast said. “Mike’s expertise will provide the guidance, mentorship and support our editors need to continue producing outstanding publications.”
