Sugarcreek Council passed an ordinance during the Oct. 21 meeting, setting salaries for elected officials and employees from Dec. 23, 2024, to Dec. 21, 2025. A 3% pay increase was given to the elected officials and employees. In 2023 the pay increase was 5%.

—Heard about 150 attended the pancake breakfast during Fire Prevention Week.

—Held the second reading of an ordinance adopting the International Property Maintenance Code.

—Held the first reading of an ordinance appointing a solicitor for the village for 2025 and 2026 and fixing compensation to be paid.
