The Summer Used Book Sale will be held Thursday, July 11 through Saturday, July 13 at The Book Cellar.

                        

The Summer Used Book Sale will be held Thursday, July 11 through Saturday, July 13 at The Book Cellar, located in the basement of the Operations Center of the Wayne County Public Library. The sale on Thursday and Friday will run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday’s sale will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday evening is Member Preview Night.

Sponsored by the Wooster Friends of the Wayne County Public Library, the Summer Sale features thousands of donated books and books culled from the Wayne County Public Library, along with audio-visual items such as books on tape, DVDs, CDs, video tapes and cassettes.

Children accompanied by an adult will receive a coupon for one free book. Prices range from a quarter to $1.25 for adult books and 25-50 cents for books for children and young adults.

The shelves are packed with good-condition books ranging from adult fiction, to picture books, to children’s and young adult fiction, to nonfiction both in papercover and hardback. Nonfiction works include gardening, cook books, how-to books, history, business, religion and biography.

Special this sale will be a collection of books on lace-making, books on Bible studies in Braille, a series of Popular Mechanics Yearbooks, vintage vinyl records and Spanish language books for children.

Proceeds from the Summer Book Sale will be used to benefit the Wayne County Public Library to better serve its patrons. Free parking will be available at the Zion Lutheran Church across the street.

Saturday is Bag Day, where all the books one can stuff in a paper grocery bag are $5.

The Wayne County Public Library Operations Center is located at 304 N. Market St.
