Tickets are now available for the annual family-friendly Bike & Brew Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Zoar. Ticket prices are $40 in advance, $50 the day of the event, and $10 for children 6 to 12 years old. Tickets may be purchased on the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition website at www.ohioeriecanal.org/bikeandbrew.

All of the proceeds from Bike and Brew benefit the continued maintenance and development of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail and Connector Trails within the Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area.

Bike and Brew begins at 10 a.m. with a scenic bicycle ride at the Canal Lands Trailhead, followed by an Oktoberfest celebration at The Canal Tavern of Zoar. Riders can choose either a 6 or 12-mile option that begins from Canal Lands Park on Dover-Zoar Road, and continues to Fort Laurens and state Route 800 before heading back to The Canal Tavern of Zoar.

The Oktoberfest celebration will begin at 11 a.m. and will include German food, Oktoberfest beer, dessert, raffle prizes, and live music. Participants are welcome to come to The Canal Tavern of Zoar at 11 a.m. if they do not wish to participate in the bike ride.

Tickets are on sale now and will be sold through the day of the event. A commemorative Bike and Brew glass will be given to the first 120 people to arrive. All ticket sales are final. They are unable to give refunds if the ticket holder does not attend the event. If you are unable to make it to the event, consider the cost of admission as a donation to the continued maintenance and development of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail and the Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area.

Questions about the event can be directed to Emily Cooney at 330-374-5657 or ecooney@ohioeriecanal.org.
