Arlene M. McHenry, age 72 of Wooster and formerly of Massillon, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, at Aultman Orrville Hospital, following a period of declining health.

Arlene was born May 21, 1946, in Millersburg to the late Roy W. and Mabel L. (Snyder) Brenneman and lived most of her life in Massillon and Wooster.

Arlene graduated from Waynedale High School with the Class of 1964 and worked with her first husband on the dairy farm for several years; drove school bus for Wooster, Massillon and Canton City Schools; Dial-A-Ride in Canton; and retired from Home Healthcare in 1992.

Arlene was a former member of East Union Lutheran Church and loved watching her grandkids sporting events as well as baseball and sewing. She will be remembered for her famous chocolate chip cookies.

Surviving are son, Christopher (Beth) McHenry of Massillon; daughters, Cheryl (Trent) Crayden of Orrville and Carol Horn Rice of Marietta, Georgia; grandchildren, Craig (Ashley) Woodruff, Adam (Kathryn) Woodruff, Carl, Jessica and Ashley Crayden, Jordan and Taylor Rice, and Alyssa, Michael and Christina McHenry; and nine great-grandchildren.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, John and Carl Brenneman.

Private family viewing will take place at the convenience of the family.

Gravesite services will be held Thursday, Dec. 6 at 12:30 p.m. at East Union Cemetery in Wooster with Pastor Jeff Caldwell officiating.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville, OH 44667, to help defray expenses.
