Connie Aeling obituary

                        
Connie S. Aeling, 67, of Columbus, died Feb. 16, 2010, at Mount Carmel East, following a long illness. Born June 19, 1942, in Dover, Connie was a daughter of Della M. Sexton of Strasburg and the late Raymond E. Sexton. She graduated from Strasburg High School in 1960 and was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Church, Columbus. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and especially enjoyed following her children’s school and sporting activities when they were young, and later those of her grandchildren. She loved playing Bingo as well as reading and traveling - she had visited every state in the union except Alaska. Surviving are her husband, David J. Aeling; sons, David J. (Theresa) Aeling II of Reynoldsburg and Robert A. (Dorthey) Aeling of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Roby, Mayci, Zakery, Emilee, Tiffany, Brittany, and Stephany Aeling; four stepgrandchildren, Nicklaus Hubbell and Tim, Christine, and Donald Guittar; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Pittman of Dover and Gail Sexton of Strasburg; brothers, John Sexton (companion, Pat Deibel) of Dover, Edward (Robin) Sexton of Bolivar, and Jeffrey (Sheila) Sexton of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Prince; and brother-in-law, Bryce Pittman. Funeral Mass was held Feb. 20, 2010, at St. Joseph Church, Dover, with Fr. Matthew N. Hoover officiating.
