Donald D. Massie
Donald D. Massie, age 65 of Orrville, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at Aultman Orrville Hospital, following a sudden illness.
Donald was born May 30, 1953, in Orrville, the son of Donald W. and Neva (Garver) Massie. He was united in marriage to Vera Tiedemann. She survives.
Donald was a 1971 graduate of Dalton High School and attended Akron University for two years. He was employed in the utilities department at the City of Orrville for 30 years, retiring in 2016.
Donald enjoyed NASCAR, gaming, birds, gardening and was very skilled in home-improvement projects.
In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by a daughter, Melissa (Steve) Boggs of Orrville; sons, Michael (Melody) Massie of Port St. Lucie, Florida, David (Danielle) Massie of Dundas, Minnesota and Kevin (Mandy) Massie of Orrville; 10 grandchildren; mother, Neva Massie of Orrville; sisters, Debbie (Paul) Lower and Donna (Arnold) George, both of Dalton; and brothers, Dennis (Robin) Massie of Dalton, Dale (Cindy) Massie of Shreve and Dean Massie of Dalton.
Donald was preceded in death by his father; sister, Danita Mallielu; and brother, Darrell Massie.
There will be no public visitation or services. A private family visitation and graveside service at Dalton Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
