Garry "Cowboy" Brillhart, age 68 of Orrville, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a period of declining health.

Garry was born Sept. 3, 1950, in Wooster to the late Walter and Ellen (Getchell) Brillhart, graduated from Smithville High School in 1969, and worked as a fork-lift operator for Rubbermaid.

Garry was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Marshallville and the American Legion Post 718 in Marshallville. He enjoyed playing croquet and softball, going horseback riding, playing any kind of card game, and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Most importantly he loved his children and especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Sally Hewitt and Jessi Brillhart, both of Orrville; son, Zach (Helen) Brillhart of North Lawrence; sister, Mary Ann (Jerry) Berg of Dalton; grandchildren, Damion, Zoey, Mackenzie, Quinton, Jacob, Grace, Genesis, Jordan, Madeline, Emma, Micah and Liam; and great-grandchildren, Aubrielle and Julianna.

In addition to his parents, Garry was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Gordon; son, Shane Brillhart; and brother, Larry Brillhart.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 7404 Coal Bank Road, Marshallville, with Pastor Lucas Merritt officiating.

Friends may call on Saturday at the church from 10-11:30 a.m., prior to the service.
