Holly Kay Clay, age 53 of Orrville, died on Friday, March 8, 2019, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster. At the time of her death, Holly was surrounded with the presence and love of her family and friends.

Holly was born Dec. 25, 1965, in Orrville to the late Donald and Helen (Wiebe) Clay and graduated from Orrville High School in 1984.

Holly was a fierce and competitive athlete in high school. Her love and support of women's sports was lifelong, especially basketball and softball. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR fan. She also enjoyed flying kites and watching hot air balloons.

Holly will be remembered for her contagious smile, outrageous sense of humor and her ability to make everyone feel like a friend.

Surviving are five siblings, Christina (Ralph) Stewart of Wooster, Dale (Beth) Clay of Orrville, Amy (Jesse) King of Gassaway, West Virginia, Deanna (Jay) Houtz of Wooster and Mary Clay of Columbus; brother-in-law, Harold Waldron of Orrville; special friend/sister, Tina Commings of Rittman; two step-brothers, Marshall (Ruthann) Clay of Fayetteville, West Virginia and Dave (Julie) Clay of Granville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Holly was preceded in death by a sister, Gwendolynn Lee Waldron.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13 at Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville, with Pastor Tom Ledford officiating. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
