Theodore J. “Ted” Bishop

                        

Theodore J. “Ted” Bishop, age 58 of Orrville, died March 18, 2019, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.

Ted was born in Orrville on July 27, 1960, the son of Nathan “Bud” and Carol (Skabar) Bishop. He was united in marriage to Maria Pitrone on Dec. 29, 1995, in Wooster. She survives.

Ted was a 1979 graduate of Orrville High School, and following graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years.

Ted had been employed at the utilities department for the City of Orrville in the maintenance department for 22 years, prior to his retirement.

Ted attended the Orrville Christian Church and was a regular blood donor for the American Red Cross. He was a member of the O-Huddle Team at Orrville High School and was active in the Orrville community. He was a generous, loving man who loved life. He will be dearly missed by his family, children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Maria, he is survived by children, Charles Joseph (Brandi) Cihlar of Wooster, Nathan (Kimberly) Bishop of Indiana, Nicholas Bishop of Spokane, Washington, Michelle Conley of Orrville and Danae (Clayton) Owens of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; grandchildren; parents, Bud and Carol Bishop of Orrville; brothers, Jim Bishop of Orrville and Paul Bishop of Dalton; and sisters, Deb (Ron) Smith and Teresa (Roger) Riblet, both of Orrville, Cheryl (David) Steiner of Dalton, and Liz (John) Koehler of Uniontown.

Memorial services will be held at Orrville Christian Church, 925 N. Elm St., Orrville, on Friday, March 22 at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Mulpas and Rev. Tom Ledford officiating.

Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30-11 a.m., prior to the memorial service.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday, March 22 at the VFW, 430 W. Market St., Orrville, starting at 2 p.m.

Memorial contributions in Ted's memory may be made to the American Red Cross, Wayne County Chapter, 244 W. South St., Wooster, OH 44691.
