Community Hospice invites all to annual rigatoni dinner
Community Hospice will hold its 29th annual rigatoni dinner on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 4-7 p.m. at Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School. The carryout dinner will include rigatoni, meatballs and sausage, salad, bread, a drink, and dessert. The evening also will feature a 50/50 raffle and a half-a-hog raffle.
In partnership with the Cronebaugh family, Community Hospice will raffle off two halves of a hog. This locally raised hog will be processed and frozen by Beitzel’s Farm and Meat Processing. Each meat bundle will include pork chops, roasts, smoked bacon, ham slices and sausages.
Tickets for the hog raffle are $5 for one ticket or $10 for three tickets. The winners of the hog raffle and 50/50 raffle will be announced at the end of the evening on Community Hospice’s Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/CommunityHospiceOfOhio.
“The rigatoni dinner will look different this year due to COVID, but just being able to have the dinner brings a sense of normalcy and accomplishment,” said Mona Sayre, fundraising coordinator for Community Hospice. “While fundraising has taken a great hit financially over the last year, the need for funds for patient care remains. The amazing support from the community during this event helps us to continue to care for all, regardless of one’s ability to pay.”
Tickets for the dinner are $10 for adults, $5 for children age 6-12, and free for children age 5 and under. Over the years the rigatoni dinner has raised over $250,000 for patient care.
Patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Dinner tickets and raffle tickets will be available at Community Hospice in Tuscarawas County, the Browse & Buy in Dover and Uhrichsville, and at the door.
