The Massillon Museum invites college juniors and seniors who are pursuing a BA/BFA or MFA in studio art at a Northeastern Ohio university to apply for one-person Studio M show slots in January and February 2022. Each show, which is an effort to showcase emerging regional artists, will be installed for three weeks.

The Massillon Museum’s Studio M is dedicated to presenting contemporary art exhibits, eight shows each year including the two student exhibitions.

Student show proposal applications will be accepted through Oct. 15. Proposals should be submitted to www.massillonmuseum.org/artist-opportunities or massillonmuseum.submittable.com/submit.

Every entrant must be a member of the Massillon Museum; new memberships are welcome at any time. Online guidelines include information about application procedures, individual proposals, the scope of artwork appropriate for Studio M, delivery and pickup requirements, artwork presentation specifications, and information about artists’ receptions, sales and promotion.

“Studio M has hosted more than 70 diverse exhibitions since its inception in 2004,” Studio M coordinator Emily Vigil said.

Artists interested in pursuing a Studio M show can email evigil@massillonmuseum.org.

MassMu is located at 121 Lincoln Way E. in downtown Massillon. Call 330-833-4061 or visit www.massillonmuseum.org.
