Girls participate in winter gymnastics invitational

The Tuscarawas YMCA gymnastics team competed their Level 3, 4 and Excel Gold gymnasts at the Cambridge winter invitational Feb. 1. The Excel Gold team took first place while the Level 4 and Level 3 teams each took third place.
Four local girls earned first-place awards. Aria Sanner won first place on beam, floor and all around. Lucy Miller won first on bars, Jaylee Lute on vault and Aaliyah Garner on beam.
Tusc gymnasts scoring a 9.0 or higher were Aria Sanner with a 9.4 on floor and 9.1 on beam, Skyler Kellerman with a 9.15 on floor, Jaylee Lute with 9.1 on floor, Lucy Miller with 9.05 on beam, Evelyn Horger with a 9.0 on bars, and Alyse Mello with a 9.0 on beam.
Top all-around scores for each level were Aria Sanner with 35.15 for Excel Gold, Avery Gause with 33.6 for Level 4 and Avery Emler with 33.7 for Level 3.
Ribbons and medals were awarded to gymnasts placing first place through 10th place.
Local gymnasts earning awards were as follows:
Excel Gold
—Aria Sanner: first on beam, floor and all around; second on bars; and third on vault.
—Lucy Miller: first on bars; second on vault, beam and all around; and fifth on floor.
—Jaylee Lute: first on vault; third on bars, floor and all round; and fifth on beam.
—Penelope Endlich: fourth on vault, bars, beam, floor and all around.
—Alyse Mello: third on beam, fifth on bars and all around, and sixth on vault and floor.
—Skyler Kellerman: second on floor; fifth on vault; and sixth on bars, beam and all around.
Level 4
—Avery Gause: third on vault, fourth all around, fifth on bars and beam, and seventh on floor.
—Ari Burcher: third on beam, fifth all around, sixth on bars and floor, and ninth on vault.
—Teagan McDonald: seventh on vault and beam, eighth on bars and all around, and ninth on floor.
Level 3
—Avery Emler: third on vault, fourth on floor and all around, sixth on beam, and seventh on bars.
—Aaliyah Garner: first on floor, second on beam and all around, fourth on vault, and fifth on bars.
—Evelyn Horger: third on floor, fourth on bars, fifth on vault, seventh all around and ninth on beam.
—Jordynn Roden: sixth on vault and floor, seventh on beam and all around, and eighth on bars.
—Charlee Beachy: sixth on bars; eighth all around; and ninth on vault, beam and floor.
—Peyton Lewis: second on bars and floor, fourth all around, fifth on vault, and seventh on beam.
—Alaysia Garner: third on vault and beam, fifth all around, sixth on floor, and eighth on bars.
