Grazing Field Day for sheep producers
                        
The Shepherd’s Flock is finalizing plans for a Grazing Field Day for sheep producers July 12. Sponsored by the Ohio Heartland Sheep Improvement Association and the Ohio Forage and Grassland Council, the field day will feature tours and pasture walks of three sheep operations in the Holmes County area. Rory Lewandoski, OSU Extension, Wayne County, Jeff McCutcheon, OSU Extension, Morrow County and Bob Hendershot, Green Pasture Services, will lead the pasture walks and discuss pasture management and sheep production systems. 0x3be1f290The cost includes lunch and transportation. It is limited to the first 100 registrations. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the field day will conclude at 3 p.m. Lunch will be at the Carpenter’s Café at Keim Lumber.
