Sheep workshop shares first year results from research in Sugarcreek

                        
The Ohio Heartland Sheep Improvement Association will be sponsor its fall event Thursday, Nov. 13. The year program is “Improve Your Sheep Flock with Farmer-Friendly Artificial Insemination” and will feature Dale Duerr, DVM and Craig Zimmerly, DVM as speakers. The workshop will share the first year results of a NCR Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Grant on artificial insemination in sheep, including ewe and ram management, methods used, what worked and what didn’t, first year results and a discussion with the opportunity for questions and answers. The program will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will be at the Noah and Mary Yoder farm, 2999 C.R. 70, Sugarcreek, Cost is $10 per person which includes a pizza supper.
