The Happy Harvesters 4-H club of Strasburg met Sunday, June 9 at the First Lutheran Church. Interview judging is coming up soon, and everyone is at work on their projects.

The club voted to donate a trophy and plaque again this year for the 2019 Tuscarawas County Fair. Club pictures were taken for the booth and barns. Lydia Thomas did her Cloverbud Corner speech, “How to Make a Flower Planter.” The group had a covered-dish cookout to end the night.

Club members took a tour of Dover Parkside Buehler's on Monday, June 24. Employees gave a cake-decorating demonstration and talked about many aspects of the bakery. Leigh Grove and Doug Wills spoke to the club about a variety of subjects, like how important agriculture is for everyone, different departments and jobs, and skills that can be learned from 4-H that will help with a career.

Cloverbud project judging will be done at the meeting on July 21.
