Shows coming to Harrison Coal and Reclamation Historical Park
A gathering of agriculture, construction, industrial, mining, military, logging, oil and gas, steam, and transportation history will take place Sept. 10-11 at Harrison Coal & Reclamation Historical Park grounds, 43672 Stumptown Road, New Athens.
Past shows included a black smith and plowing with an antique tractor.
Antique tractors, engines, hit and miss, oilfield engines, cars, semi-trucks, pickup trucks and garden tractors are all welcome.
The 19th annual Old Construction & Mining Equipment Show also will be held the same weekend at the show location. A food vendor, Ice Cream Island's ice cream truck and Holy Rollers Doughnut truck will be on the grounds. WVU Medicine, Reynolds Memorial Hospital will have an informational booth for its Black Lung Clinic during the show.
The show will have a flea market and swap area. Vendor items will include scale and diecast construction and farm toys, hit and miss engine parts, agriculture and industrial manuals, tools and more.
The show will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
They currently have openings for flea market, farmers market, toy, craft, swap and business vendors. The cost is $15 per space with maximum size of 15-by-25 per space. Email the Old Construction & Mining Equipment Show at oldironshow@yahoo.com.
