The eighth meeting of the Nashville Jolly Farmers took place on July 1 at the Nashville United Methodist Church.

Gabby Fowler led the Pledge of Allegiance and Bree Houin led the 4-H pledge. Bree asked everyone who their favorite singer was for roll call. There were 32 members present. Bree gave the secretary’s report and Kailyn Snyder gave the treasurers report.

The advisors discussed important dates with the group, such as the upcoming recreation night on July 28 at Whispering Hills, lifeskills judging on July 9 and livestock judging on July 11 and 15.

Brant Burgett made a motion to donate money towards a new picnic table for the fair. Gabby Fowler seconded and the motion passed. Sarah Irwin moved to adjourn the meeting and Garrett Fowler seconded.

To follow up the meeting, many members did demonstrations. Kailyn Snyder shared information about rabbits, Delani Vaughn demonstrated how to make slime, Cameron Hinton shared about his dog, Owen Mallasch shared the history of Badminton, Miles Mallasch shared about cheetahs, and Brant Burgett ended the night with his demonstration on showing pigs.

The next meeting of the Nashville Jolly Farmers will be held on July 28 from 5-8 p.m. at Whispering Hills.
