The “Creativity is Timeless Exhibit” will return to Walnut Hills Retirement Community, following a two-year absence due to the pandemic.

The public is invited to view dozens of pieces of artwork and live art demonstrations as part of the exhibit on Saturday, Aug. 20.

The exhibit will be held in Evergreen Place at Walnut Hills, 4770 Olde Pump St., Walnut Creek, and will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission to the exhibit is free.

All of the exhibit’s artwork was completed by amateur artists age 55 and over and who reside in Holmes County and the surrounding area.

“We are excited to bring back the art show to celebrate creativity of older adults in our community,” said Paula Miller, community relations director at Walnut Hills. “We are looking forward to showcasing a variety of beautiful artwork.”

Visitors to the exhibit will see artwork from a variety of categories including paintings and drawings, photography, quilting, needlework and other soft crafts, woodworking, ceramics and other hard crafts, and miscellaneous arts and crafts items.

Visitors who stop in at the “Creativity is Timeless Exhibit” also will be able to see several art demonstrations and will have a chance to vote for their favorite piece of artwork, which will help determine the recipient of the People’s Choice Award.

Call Miller at 330-893-3200 ext. 1354.
