The award-winning play, "Love Letters," will be presented at the Union Country Club on Friday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. The production is being presented by Black Box Ensemble Theatre.

This two-person comedy written by A.R. Gurney is a Pulitzer Prize finalist and has had multiple Broadway productions starring Carol Burnett, Mia Farrow, Martin Sheen and Alan Alda.

Two friends exchange notes, cards and letters with each other for over 50 years. From second grade through college and into adulthood, they share a life-long love affair through the power of the pen.

The show stars two local veteran actors, Elizabeth Thomakos and Bart Herman.

"It is a real thrill to be directing these incredibly talented actors with one of my all-time favorite scripts," said Don Irven, director of the show. "It is a beautifully told story, and if you have never seen these two actors together on stage, then you are in for a fabulous evening of theater. The show is a very simple format for telling a really great story as the actors read love letters from one another. There's romance, passion, heartbreak and suspense — all of the things you experience in a real-life love story."

Tickets are $15. A dinner theater also is available with a three-course dinner before the show at 6 p.m. Tickets are $36-$38 for both the dinner and show. Seating is very limited.

For tickets email events@unioncountryclub.net, attention Raven and include name, phone number and the number of tickets you would like. "Love Letters" is being presented through special arrangements with Dramatist Play Service Inc.

Union Country Club is located at 1000 N. Bellevue Ave. in Dover.
