The Massillon Museum will offer a figure drawing workshop with George Kozmon on Saturday, July 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants age 18 and older will learn the basics of figure drawing with a live model.

Kozmon, an internationally recognized painter who was a student of Anthony Eterovich, has received numerous awards including the National Endowment for the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship and four Ohio Arts Council grants. His artwork has been seen in 30 solo exhibitions; more than 100 two-person, invitational or group shows; and internationally commissioned projects.

The workshop fee is $50 or $40 for MassMu members. Class size is limited. Students will be provided with paper, charcoal, pencils and an eraser and are encouraged to bring any additional materials they would like to use. All media are welcome. Participants should bring lunch.

Advance registration is required and may be made by calling the museum at 330-833-4061 or visiting www.MassMu.org/tickets.

The workshop complements the museum’s summer exhibition, "A Thrilling Act: The Art of Anthony Eterovich," in the Aultman Health Foundation Gallery. Students are encouraged to explore the exhibition before or after the workshop. To learn more about Eterovich and his work, visit www.ArtofAnthonyEterovich.org.

MassMu receives operating support from the Ohio Arts Council and ArtsinStark; Visit Canton provides marketing support.

The Massillon Museum is located at 121 Lincoln Way E. in downtown Massillon.
