For some women, buying a car can be a challenge. Most of us know that kicking the tires is not an effective method for determining a vehicle’s worth. But beyond that, we haven’t the expertise to properly assess whether a car is mechanically sound or a good deal.

With the opening of Tusc Auto Sales last February, Lisa Wiseman, who works in tandem with her daughter Raquel Meo, has made it as easy as walking on to the lot and pointing to the vehicle that appeals the most, then taking it for a test drive.

“Before any vehicle hits our lot, we have our own mechanic go over every inch to make sure there are no mechanical issues. Nothing is hidden. We try to be as thorough as possible,” Meo said. “We treat our customers like family.”

That treatment extends to Tusc Auto offering vehicles that have been completely detailed, to the extent that many cars appear to have just arrived from the showroom. On the lot you’ll find everything from hatchbacks and SUVs to trucks and economy cars.

“We have a really quick turnover,” Meo said. “We sell about 20 cars a month, so there’s always something new to see. We regularly update our Facebook page if a hot deal has just arrived, our friends are the first to know about it.”

If you’ve got a car in mind that Tusc Auto doesn’t have in its inventory, you can put in a request, and Meo will make it her mission to find it for you.

With an average of 30 cars on the lot at all times, Meo said they make an effort to have a nice variety that appeals to everyone, which includes featuring vehicles in a variety of different price points.

“Our $3,000 and under Bargain Block is really popular,” she said. “And everything on our lot is under $10,000. We also price our inventory at least $1,000 or more under the Kelly Blue Book value, and we price below our competition, so you can feel confident you’re getting a great deal.”

All quoted prices include tax and title.

In addition to your test drive, Tusc Auto Sales provides you with all of the service records for the vehicle that interests you, a Car Fax report and the opportunity to take the automobile you love to your own mechanic. The team also includes a warranty that’s miles ahead of the industry standard. Ask for details when you visit for your test drive.

Oh, and if you’re a single mom or dad with kids, you needn’t worry about toting your brood to the car lot. Meo said there’s a family room onsite where kids can play and do what they want while you focus on buying a car. Oh, and high-pressure sales tactics are never a part of the deal.

Trade-ins are gladly accepted, and several levels of financing are available. “We work with three local banks and five local financing companies in addition to a sub-prime lender out of Cleveland,” Meo said. “No matter what your credit, we can get you financed.”

Meo said that as a young mother herself, she’s particularly sensitive to the needs of other moms who could use a little help with the car-buying process. And while Tusc Auto Sales caters to buyers of every age, both male and female, she says women particularly appreciate her no-rush approach to selling.

“I answer a lot of questions and take my time with each customer,” she said. “We’re building relationships to last.”
