Plenty of silent auction items at Pomerene Cornhole tournament

                        
Pomerene Hospital will be sponsoring a Relay For Life cornhole tournament and silent auction on Saturday, May 15, at The Farm at Walnut Creek. The day will be filled with food, fun, farm animals, a cornhole tournament, silent auction and raffle. There is still time to sign up a team for the tournament. Registration forms can be found on Pomerene’s website under the “Cornhole Tournament” news headline. Call 330-674-1584, ext. 1764, receive a registration form. The cornhole tournament begins at 10 a.m. Teams must sign in between 9-9:45 a.m. that morning. “We are really looking forward to this event,” said Rebecca Wojcicki, public relations and marketing coordinator for Pomerene Hospital. “We anticipate a large turnout and are very appreciative to all the area businesses that have donated silent auction items and raffle items to us.” The silent auction bidding will begin at 10 a.m. and will conclude at 2 p.m., when winners will be announced. Some of the silent auction items include: Side of beef/processing, courtesy of M&M Farms and Sugar Valley Meats Leaf blower, courtesy of Lozier’s Engine Shop Overnight hotel stay, courtesy of Carlisle Inn Valuable gift package, courtesy of Millersburg Tire Gift package (fitness club/restaurant), courtesy of Berlin Hotel and Suites Four to five yards of mulch, courtesy of Scenic Grinding and Mulch Cornhole board, courtesy of Cornhole.com Adult bike, courtesy of True Value Hardware Kid bike, courtesy of Hiland Bikes Two chairs and a table, courtesy of Erb’s Stove Store, Berlin Wojcicki said this is only a portion of the items they plan to have at the event. They have already received several raffle items, including several restaurant gift cards, gift baskets (both for kids and adults), and gas cards. Raffle tickets will be $1 per ticket or $5 for six tickets. General admission to The Farm at Walnut Creek that day is at a discount rate of $7.75 a person. There will be plenty of food, including a barbecue chicken lunch, hot dogs, cotton candy, homemade ice cream and more.
