Since 1974, the store located at 7880 Stony Point Rd. NW just minutes from Sugarcreek — in the heart of Amish Country — has been a “hardware store and much more.”
Over 12,000 square feet of store space holds just about anything anyone would need for any DIY project — power tools, welders, air compressors, plumbing materials, electrical equipment, and more.
Contractors can shop for building materials and other supplies, while Stony Point Supply also carries a complete line of heaters, including natural gas, propane, infra-red and vent-free.
The store also carries a wide variety of drainage pipe, catch basins, rebar and wire mesh, and numerous concrete products, and, together with the huge inventory, it’s all offered at very competitive prices.
“People don’t realize all the products we have right here at their fingertips,” said Leeroy Raber, Stony Point Supply’s manager. “And if we don’t have it here, we can get it.”
Another reason customers keep coming back is the store’s friendly, knowledgeable staff that is always ready and willing to assist.
“Those projects that are challenging, there’s always questions that need answered,” Raber said. “People can even take a picture on the phone of what they’re doing and show us what they need, and a picture is worth a thousand words.
“Whether it’s a big problem or a little one, we have the experts here who can help.”
An event that has quickly turned into a Stony Point Supply tradition is its annual Contractors Sale, being held this year from March 19-20. In addition to special sales, the store will also have food available and will be awarding door prizes.
“We’ve gotten a lot of support for the sale from our various sales reps and it’s been real successful,” Raber said. “It shows all of the contractors how much we appreciate all that they do for us.”
