The Curry Pot to be featured on America’s Best Restaurants

America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company that brings attention to local, independently owned restaurants, will bring its “ABR Roadshow” to the restaurant on Aug. 5.
Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owners Renoy and Tania Barua about the restaurant’s place in the community. The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date.
The Baruas moved to the area in 2015 and noticed there was no Indian restaurant in the area. They began their business by cooking for the Local Roots Marketplace on weekends as a pop-up vendor, selling hot lunches and grab-and-go items and also providing food two days a week to The College of Wooster.
The full-service Curry Pot opened in 2023, utilizing a custom-built, gas-fired clay tandoor oven to provide a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options and a daily all-you-can-eat lunch buffet, as well as a full menu of Indian specialties in a range of spice levels.
The menu offers everything from curries to tandoori dishes, biryani, appetizers, salads and wraps, naan, and desserts. Popular items include the tandoori garlic naan, butter chicken, mango curry and chicken tikka masala.
America’s Best Restaurants will film on location on Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 2-5 p.m. The restaurant’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on its Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website.
Restaurants featured on the “ABR Roadshow” are selected based on their customer reviews, menu items, social media presence and level of involvement with their community. They are found through customer nominations, internal vetting or by a restaurant applying to be featured at www.americasbestrestaurants.com.
