BCF youth cut odds for benefit mower raffle

The senior high youth from Berlin Christian Fellowship are planning a short term missions trip to Anchorage, Alaska in July. They will be serving a small inner city church that ministers to both the Eskimo people group and to Caucasian Americans. Their work will include performing construction projects, setting up a computer network, cleanup projects, and conducting a Bible camp for the Eskimo children of the neighborhood. The youth group is in the midst of several fundraising efforts including a community-wide opportunity. They are raffling a new Hustler FasTrak 54” zero turn radius mower. This mower (supplied by John Schlabach of Schlabach Engine Repair in Benton) has a retail value of $7,409. Chances of winning this mower, by purchasing one or more of only 200 tickets that will be sold for this raffle, are very good. The tickets are available for $50 each and can be purchased by calling Gary Schrock at 330-231-0906 until they are sold out. Schrock explained why only 200 tickets. “We decided that limiting the number of tickets and presenting extremely good odds of winning, and then charging a little more for the tickets was a combination that will work best with a very nice prize like this Hustler FasTrak. It is not very often that you will get these kinds of odds for a prize worth more than $7,000.” The youth group will also host a multi-family garage sale at the church May14 and 15.
